Leonid Litra

Moldova


Leonid graduated from Moldova State University from Chisinau. He received his bachelor degree in International Relations and a master degree in International Relations and European Studies at the European Institute for High International Studies from Nice. 

He dedicated his master thesis to EU-Russia relations with a particular emphasis on democracy issues.

In addition to this, Leonid was a Carnegie Research Fellow at Yale University focusing on studying Moldovan political parties and a fellow within the Study Porgramme on European Security of the Institute for European Politics concentrating on EU’s conditionality in Moldova. 

While being a student, Leonid was a volunteer at the European Movement of Moldova, where he worked later and then at NATO Information and Documentation Centre of Moldova. 

Currently he is working at the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives “Viitorul” where he is serving as Deputy Director on International Cooperation. 

Leonid is interested in research areas dealing mainly with European integration issues in the Eastern Partnership countries and development of political parties in Moldova.
