Diba Nigar Göksel

Diba Nigar Göksel joined the European Stability Initiative (ESI) in 2004, where she works as Senior Analyst. Since 2007 at ESI Nigar has been primarily doing research on the Caucasus - covering democratization trends, conflict resolution, and institutional development. She continues to also work on Turkey, particularly focusing on issues such as women's rights, democratization, and EU integration.
Since 2003 Nigar has been editor-in-chief of the Istanbul-based policy journal
Turkish Policy Quarterly (TPQ),
which has developed into a leading source of policy analysis on Turkey’s
neighborhood.
Nigar is a regular contributor to the German Marshall Fund “On Turkey'
series. She presents frequently on issues pertaining to Turkey and the
Caucasus, is active in the region's media outlets, and takes part in various
civil society dialogue and reconciliation platforms.
